How it works

Osteopathy Clinic

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN AN INTEGRATED OSTEOPATHY SESSION?

In your integrated Osteopathy session you will experience various techniques combined to restore your body’s natural balance and promote healing. The aim is to relieve pain, improve function thereby enhancing your movement and wellbeing. Here’s what you can expect in a session:

  • Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a hands-on treatment aimed at positioning the body optimally to facilitate self-healing. This involves realigning bones, ligaments, tendons, fascia, and muscles to ensure proper blood supply, lymphatic drainage and nerve supply to specific areas of the body.
  • Cranial Osteopathy
Cranial osteopathy addresses restrictions in the skull sutures, which can lead to various health issues. This gentle method uses light touch to balance the body and promote healing.
  • Physiotherapy
Employs exercise therapy for rehabilitation and strengthening. Ideal for recovering from injuries and improving overall physical health.
  • Ultrasonics
Utilises high-frequency sound waves to warm tissues, improve blood supply, and correct scar tissue. Effective for muscular and ligament injuries and pain relief.
  • Violet Ray
Invented by Tesla, this device uses static electricity to balance the body by modulating nerve impulses, enhancing blood flow, and improving drainage. Treats various conditions, including eye problems, digestive issues, nervous system depletion, and sciatica.
  • Herbal Medicine
Specific herbs and combinations applied topically to treat injuries and musculoskeletal conditions like rheumatism and arthritis. For example, st john’s wort, gelsemium, and lobelia for pain relief, arnica for bruising, comfrey for bone and soft tissue healing, capsicum for circulatory support. Essential oils may also be used such as lavender, wintergreen, juniper, and rosemary to provide sedative and healing effects.

WHAT IS THE COST AND DURATION?

The first appointment takes 45 minutes and includes a comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and first treatment and is £85. Follow-up appointments are 30 minutes in duration and are £65.
