Rumana Zahn ND
Clinic Director and Consultant Naturopath
ND, BSc (Hons), DipCK, DipA, DipM, CEd, FAMH, MLIHM
Rumana started her career as a scientist, working as a microbiologist in laboratories that specialised in food and water analysis. She then spent time working in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry but finally became concerned about the limitations of Western medicine and decided to focus on exactly what it is that makes us healthy and well.
She went on to train as a practitioner of naturopathy, nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, kinesiology, iridology and yoga and now with over 30 years’ experience in clinical practice she is Director at Clinic Naturae, a board member of the Herbal Alliance, former Chair and currently a Council Member to the Association of Master Herbalists and the Laurence Society of Holistic Medicine.
Her keen interest in research led her to publish her work in major journals of medicine. Practicing in the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne, Rumana also enjoys yoga, meditation and chi gong as well as dancing Argentine tango and sings in a Gregorian chant choir.
John Sutherland
Osteopath & Medical Herbalist
John is a highly qualified and well-established Physiotherapist and Osteopath with over 30 years of experience. He began his studies in physiotherapy at the former Middlesbrough General Hospital and later expanded his expertise by completing Cranio-Sacral Therapy training at the Upledger Institute, Cranial Osteopathy from Sutherland College and recently became a Medical Herbalist, graduating from the College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Throughout his career, John has predominantly specialised in sports injuries and musculoskeletal issues. He employs several advanced techniques to assist his patients, including the use of ultrasound therapy, which is highly effective for muscular, tendinous, and ligamentous strains. Additionally, he utilises the violet ray lamp, invented by Tesla in the late 19th to early 20th century, to treat conditions such as arthritis, sluggish abdominal and pelvic viscera, certain eye and ear complaints, general debility, nervous tension, and general backache.’
Simona Yovcheva
Dispenser
Simona is a herbalist in training with the Irish School of Herbal Medicine.
Simona works in the dispensary mixing and blending herbal preparations, preparing and sending out patient prescriptions.
She has an interest in wild food and is a keen forager, enjoying the connection between people and plants. She makes delicious healthy food with seasonal wild plants and experiments with traditional food fermentation, along with different preservation methods.
Mairead Kerr
Dispenser
Máiréad is a medical herbalist in training with The Plant Medicine School. She is a qualified community herbalist and has a wealth of experience in teaching wild medicinal plants and medicine making for young adults and children. She has a keen interest in integrative medicine and meditation and enjoys practices of wellbeing and teaching seasonal nourishment and nutrition.

A Doula practitioner with over 20 years experience Mairead has supported families and individuals through pregnancy and childbirth. She is a mother of 3 children and loves spending time with her family. She grew up immersed in traditional folk music and song which continue to be a great joy in her life.

Like a good doctor, our design consultant doesn’t prescribe any treatment without first undertaking a thorough examination.
Glen has over 20 years experience in the design industry presenting creative ideas, solutions and carefully considered plans to achieve clients’ objectives. He helps us to achieve our business goals by creating strong, simple solutions to communicate the brand message. A fine selection of organic, herbal teas on offer keeps him happy and his mind focussed.
